Higher and GDPR
Maintaining GDPR compliance is a top priority for Higher, as we aim to guarantee the security and trust of our customers. By choosing our recruitment tool, our customers automatically ensure that they are also acting in accordance with GDPR.
Higher actively works to ensure compliance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and to protect users' personal data. Following the Schrems II ruling on July 16, 2020, which made it illegal to use services that transfer and process personal data in the U.S. under Privacy Shield, Higher took significant steps to adapt its data protection strategies.
To ensure full GDPR compliance and safeguard users' privacy, Higher decided in the fall of 2020 to migrate its entire mobile recruitment tool to a European cloud provider. This migration was completed on February 1, 2021, meaning that Higher has had no connection to the U.S. since then. All personal data is now handled within the EU, providing a higher level of data protection and reducing the risk of unauthorized access or transfer to countries with lower protection standards.
Higher assures that both candidates applying for jobs through our platform and customers can feel confident that their personal data is handled in accordance with GDPR. Higher follows strict data protection regulations and acts responsibly in all situations to safeguard users' privacy.
