Higher and all HR managers in the retail sector join forces to select the Employee of the Year at the Retail Awards

In an exciting development that marks a continued commitment to excellence and innovation in FMCG, Higher, in partnership with HR leaders from the top FMCG players, is proud to announce the third annual FMCG Employee of the Year Awards. This prestigious event, which will take place on November 14 at the Grocery Gala in the Blue Hall at City Hall, celebrates the outstanding contributions and achievements of individuals who have demonstrated exceptional performance, commitment and innovation in their roles.

The collaboration of HR managers across all grocery stores underlines a shared vision to promote a culture of excellence and recognition within the industry. The 'Employee of the Year' award is not only a celebration of individual achievement but a testament to the collective effort and commitment of the grocery industry to maintain the highest standards of service and professionalism.

Candidates for the award are evaluated through a rigorous selection process where anyone can nominate their colleagues for the award. The winner is then selected according to the criteria: "The Retail Employee of the Year should be someone who has demonstrated exceptional service to the store's customers and who supports, listens to and helps their colleagues. This employee contributes both to a good atmosphere in the workplace and to the development of the store".

The grocery gala

Dagligvarugalan, which celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2023, is the industry's big gala evening where all talented employees in the grocery industry around the country are in focus and get a well-deserved place in the spotlight. During the evening, the industry's heroes who quietly ensure that the Swedish food supply works and that consumers are inspired to do great things in the kitchen and at the dinner table are recognized and rewarded.

The gala is the result of several months of jury work, with finalists eventually selected in 20 categories. The judging panels are made up of well-known figures with links to the grocery sector.

The grocery gala is organized by the trade magazine Fri Köpenskap.
